"Hi, my name is Emily and I've been photographing people, landscapes, and cars for about six years. I jumped into the car scene in 2018 after finding myself at a local meet with a camera in hand and someone was like, "hey, wanna grab some shots of my car"? That night I sat at home looking at the images, messing around with colors and had a realization- I had hit a creative rut in portraiture where the process didn't challenge skill like I wanted. Staring at a low quality image of a Subaru on my computer screen sparked a new passion for photography which ended up becoming the creative project, HoytPhoto.

I met Taylor through a Facebook post on a local free and for sale page in 2018 and had the honor of photographing his FA1 Civic. Since then, we have been working together to grow his brand and my photography work.

 

From there, I went to photograph event media for the SEMA show in Las Vegas in 2019, StanceNation Las Vegas 2019 and Stancewars Seattle in 2018 and 2019. Because of Likemindedsociety, I have had the opportunity to be accepted into a positive and supportive group of car enthusiasts from all over the PNW. In the future, I plan on collecting more show media passes, photographing one of a kind builds, and meeting the LMS community that has supported me from my first shoot.

Emily was added to the Likemindedsociety team in 2018 after being discovered in the local car scene in Northern Idaho. The initial photoshoot of Taylor Reali's 2009 Honda Civic LX in 2018 was one of the first occurrences that allowed Likemindedsociety to be exposed to Emily's talents. After some time of getting the reps in, a positive relationship was established between Likemindedsociety and Hoytphoto was formed. From there, Emily was offered to be brought on as the very first sponsored/partnered photographer for the brand.

In the later months of 2018, Emily applied to be a media representative for Likemindedsociety at the infamous SEMA Show, and StanceNation Las Vegas! This trip was invigorating for both Emily, and LMS as it was the first of its kind for both parties involved. This sparked a passion to continue to create, and provide quality content that is backed by a positive, and hard working community.

Over the year's Emily has grown in talents, as a person, and also as a member of the Likemindedsociety team. Being the LEAD photographer for LMS, Emily expresses creative ideas by pushing the boundaries of modern methods. With innovative ideas that have transformed how LMS operates, and also moves forward with its design processes.

Whoever has the opportunity to work with Emily will definitely not regret it, as her individualistic style is truly unique and speaks volumes for itself! (incase you didn't happen to see the photos posted in this Behind The Lens)
