Wekfest Seattle 2021 │ Weekend Warriors
Spontaneous Decisions
After making some incredible memories back in August at the StanceWars Seattle & RHD Fest show weekend, it was only necasary to make some spontaneous plans for the following months!
Setting out to Seattle for Wekest Seattle 2021 was the first decision! I was joined by @HoytPhoto for the trip out to meet @Boosted_Coffey and @Stillnowlow for the first time. Shortly after arriving in the metrapolis area I was blessed to be able to tag along with @HoytPhoto for a photoshoot with the one and only @Serantart! Talk about a shoot of a lifetime, with one clean and unique build! The weather was overcast with quite a bit of cloud coverage, but we made the most of it! If you're interested in seeing more photos from this shoot, I highly encourage you click the names mentioned previously!
Shortly after finishing the photoshoot and making our way back down from northern Seatlle we unloaded the car at Tanner's house and I was able to meet him and Tyler for the first time! Tanner was also kind enough to introduce me to his good friend, MJ!
After meeting everyone and saying our hello's, we then set out to make a gameplan for the short weekend we all had. The move was having a nice night out on the town Friday & Saturday night, and then head to the show midday on Sunday! Filling whatever free time we had with visiting restaurants, going to IKEA for the first time, and making sure the cars were clean of course. I even was able to visit one of my good friends Erick; who happens to be building a Nissan 240SX, and is a huge drift enthusiast!
Wekfest Seattle - The Showcase
Sunday morning came quick, and we ended up making a trip over to IKEA before we headed in the direction of the show. If you're in the area, you HAVE to go in and get some meatballs don't you? Tanner thought this was necassary, and since we already needed to go there, it worked out perfectly!
After the exhausting maze at IKEA, we said our goodbyes to Tanner and made our way up to Metlife Stadium where they host the show! Arriving fasionably late with maybe 2 hours until the end of the show, @HoytPhoto and I both knew we needed to make the most of what little time we had left to get content!
The showcase of vehicles here was amazing, from the level of detail in the builds, to the variety of builds, and even the displays that some put on for their rides! After this one, you can definitely say that I;m hooked on coming to these shows. Maybe one day the official LMS STI may be in one! Photos courtesy of @HoytPhoto on Instagram!
Conclusion
In conclusion with this very spontaneous weekend, I am very happy that I was convinced to go. This really showed me what not only I am missing out on, but also what the LMS team is truly capable of. With that being said, expect more coverage style newsletters coming out in the future. Did someone say StanceWars Portland coming up soon? *insert eyes emoji*
In Other News...
In other necks of the LMS woods, the photography team is firing on mostly all cylinders! With the rebranding of @HoytPhoto, she has a new look and the same kickass talent! Matt down in California is truly spreading his wings and kicking some ass, it was crazy to learn that he is in the very same area as our friends over at @StreetVaderz (HIGHLY RECOMMEND CHECKING THEM OUT!). Over on the eastern side of the country, Irvin is absolutely KILLING IT! From IG reels, making feature videos, and full on sets of photography. His work is speaking for itself which is why he is growing so much! Keep it up!
All in all, I'm extremely happy with everything that has happened not only for myself this year but also with LMS. Now it's time to ramp it up for 2022, as it's going to be the biggest and best year yet! Without you, the LMS community, this wouldn't have been possible. So THANK YOU! I would also like to thank you for taking your time to read this newsletter, and if you enjoyed consider leaving a comment down below! - Taylor Reali
